THE PLANETARIUM
--StarDome can ONLY be set up indoors--
StarDome is a 6 metre mobile planetarium making it one of the largest in the UK.
The Planetarium entrance is through a zip style tent doorway so there is no tunnel to crawl down as in some other planetaria making StarDome easy to enter and exit It is also wheelchair friendly.
StarDome is able to accommodate a maximum of 32 people seated on chairs making it a professional auditorium or where chairs are not available gym mats or the floor can be used allowin a few extra places.
We can not accomodate more than these numbers for Health and Safety reasons.
StarDome can easily allow a school class at a time to have the StarDome experience

StarDome needs a space 8 metres x 7 metres x 4 metres high. A school hall or gym is often used. The area must be clean and level. The planetarium requires just a single power access point.
The all-sky electronic projector was made for StarDome by Holmestronic
& The projection cylinders are manufactured by Starlab in the USA.
For events and festivals a separate, quiet location is recommended as the dome is
NOT sound-proof
An adjoining assembly area is recommended.

Regardless of presentation length
HALF DAY bookings constitute up to 3 shows maximum
FULL DAY bookings are for up to 5-6 shows maximum
e.g. 6 - half hour morning or afternoon shows DO NOT
constitute a half day booking
Full daily rate is payable after 3 shows to a maximum of 6
If any extra shows are required during the day or in the evening then an additional
presentation fee will be charged
A discount will be offered for those clients who book the planetarium for 3 or more consecutive days
StarDome does not usually require deposits or any pre-payment. Our newly introduced terms and conditions booking form will be sent to you once the booking is confirmed.
HOWEVER In some circumstances we have had to introduce a "pre-invoicing" policy
