SIR PATRICK MOORE

Sir Patrick needs no introduction, he is a true legend of British astronomy. I have been lucky enough to meet Patrick on many occasion and have spent time with him as his home in West Sussex. Patrick has attained legendary status in British astronomy as a writer, researcher and television presenter having done more than any other to raise the profile of astronomy.
He has been the presenter of the Sky At Night television program since 1957 making him the longest serving presenter of the same television program anywhere in the world. A record still unsurpassed. A truly lovely person. Thanks Patrick.
