THE ORWELL PARK OBSERVATORY

Andrew was recently asked by his good friend Colin Green if he would like to attend a private tour around the Orwell Park Observatory near Ipswich in Suffolk. Astronomer's Paul Whiting & Mike Whybrey were our hosts and I'd like to thank them both for taking the time to show us round. Thank you very much for your time and help.

Andrew at the business end of the refractor. We observed Mars and a myriad of other wonderful celestial objects

The telescope housed here at the Orwell Park Observatory is a 26cm Refractor named in honor of its sponsor
